Billing Clerk
The GBS Group is seeking to expand our Project Controls department by adding a Billing Clerk. The GBS Group is a dynamic engineering firm with a portfolio full of diverse projects across the Maritime, Federal, and Transportation industries. Our project controls team is responsible for monitoring and managing the financial health of our jobs as well as assisting in the financial aspects of quoting new opportunities. As our company grows, so does the Project Controls department and we are excited to be adding a billing clerk to our team.
Responsibilities Include:
- Bi-weekly, monthly, and milestone creation of invoices in accounting system for approval on FPP, TM, and CPFF type contracts.
- Post approved invoices in accounting system, format invoice, compile/complete necessary documents required for submission (e.g. expense reports, timesheets, ecrafts, standard form), and submit invoices through email or portal depending on the contract requirements.
- Update notes on accounts receivable.
- Issue credit memos as needed.
- With the help of Project Controllers, process expense reports and reconcile company paid-expenses.
- Bachelor's Degree, in accounting, finance, or math preferred
- Highly organized
- Detail oriented
- Experience in Business Central is a plus (not required)
- Pay rate $20.00 to $23.00 per hour based on experience
