Warehouse AssociateWe are seeking an experienced Warehouse Associate to join our winning team. Assists with incoming and outgoing deliveries. Ensures vehicles, equipment, and materials are handled properly and safely through every transition.To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The lists below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.Minimum QualificationsEducation: High School/G.E.D. preferred, but not requiredExperience: 6 months - 1 year of warehouse or general construction experienceBilingual: English and Spanish preferred, but not requiredDriver's License: Required (Must be able to pull trailers)Forklift: Preferred, but not requiredKnowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesAbility to operate large motor vehicles, warehouse equipment, forklifts, and pull trailersSome familiarity with small engine repair and maintenanceComputer skills; Microsoft Office, GPS tracking software, and tool management softwareKnowledge of basic safety techniques and proceduresAbility to safely secure materials for transferAttention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlinesAbility to organize, plan, and execute work assignmentsPossesses interpersonal skills necessary to work on a teamAbility to read and use a tape measure, mark, or record distancesGeneral basic knowledge of construction materials and tools involved in constructionAbility to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner according to instructions receivedEssential FunctionsOperating motor vehicles, various warehouse equipment, and pulling trailersResponsible for receiving shipments and readying them for storage or transferInspecting shipments and assisting in tracking inventoryMust be able to meet the physical demands of the jobPhysical DemandsRequires standing up for long periods of timeRequires use of ladders, scaffolds, and stairwaysRequires ability to climb, lift, balance, walk, and handle materialsRequires use of abdominal and lower back muscles to support part of the body repeatedly or continuously over time without giving out or fatiguingRequires seeing details at close rangeRequires repetitive movement, bending or twisting, kneeling, crouching, stooping or crawlingRequires ability to stand, walk, lift, and carry items weighing 50 pounds regularlyWork EnvironmentRequires working in extremely bright or inadequate lighting conditions, in very hot (above 90 F degrees) or very cold (below 32 F degrees) temperatures, including exposure to sounds and noise levels that are distracting or uncomfortableIncludes exposure to contaminants, hazardous material, or equipmentMistakes are not easily correctable and have serious consequences, therefore safety procedures need to be followedRequires exposure to minor burns, cuts, bites, or stingsRequires exposure to high places or dangerous conditionsThe statements herein are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this classification.
