Security Officer Passenger Screening

Join Allied Universal as a Screener in a dynamic cruise terminal location, where you will help screen passengers, visitors, and belongings while supporting security-related operations with professionalism and care. This role combines visible presence, customer service, and communication in a fast-paced environment. Guided by teamwork, integrity, and innovation, you will help create a smooth and welcoming experience for everyone entering the location.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Day Time Sat 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM

Sun 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out screening procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities in a professional manner at a cruise operations location.
  • Screen passengers, visitors, crew members, and/or personal property entering designated areas using approved screening equipment and inspection procedures.
  • Respond to incidents, access concerns, and/or prohibited item discoveries in a calm, problem-solving manner while following post orders and reporting protocols.
  • Monitor entry points, verify credentials, and/or help to deter unauthorized access to restricted or operational areas.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around screening checkpoints, terminal areas, and the surrounding perimeter as assigned, with working conditions varying by location.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • A TSA issued TWIC is required.
  • X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
