Shipping & Receiving Supervisor

A growing food manufacturing company is seeking an experienced Shipping & Receiving Supervisor to support the launch of its new Chesapeake operation. This role will oversee warehouse activities, shipping, receiving, inventory control, and material handling operations while leading a team of warehouse associates.

Candidates should possess strong warehouse leadership experience and a commitment to safety, accuracy, and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily shipping and receiving activities
• Coordinate inbound and outbound freight
• Lead and develop warehouse employees
• Maintain inventory accuracy
• Ensure compliance with warehouse safety procedures
• Support operational and continuous improvement initiatives

Qualifications

Required

• 3+ years of warehouse or logistics leadership experience
• Inventory control and shipping/receiving experience
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Forklift experience
• High School Diploma or GED

Preferred

• Food manufacturing experience
• GMP or SQF environment experience
• ERP system experience
• Lean Manufacturing knowledge

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Chesapeake, VA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $30.00/hr.
