Dietary Aide

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dietary Aide to join our team at Thalia Gardens Rehabilitation and Nursing in Virginia Beach, Virginia. As a Dietary Aide, you will play a vital role in ensuring the nutritional needs of our residents are met while maintaining the highest standards of food quality and sanitation.

Responsibilities include:

• Assist with menu planning, food preparation, and food service to meet the dietary needs of our residents
• Ensure the timely and efficient delivery of food and snacks to residents
• Maintain a clean and sanitary environment in the kitchen and dining areas
• Label, date, and store food and supplies according to facility policies
• Assist with inventory control and ordering of food and supplies
• Collaborate with the dietary team to plan and implement special events and activities

Requirements include:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• One years of experience in food service or healthcare preferred, but not required
• Ability to lift, bend, and move equipment and supplies as needed
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
