US Department of Defense - - Responsibilities: Research, develop, evaluate effectiveness, and technical adequacy of work items and proposals for resolving complicated and critical electronic problems; Provide procurement estimates for general electronic system maintenance and repair work and expected electronics improvement projects; Examine shipboard navigation and communication facilities to ensure ships are capable of maintaining satisfactory communications with the Navy and MSC fleet, applicable shore facilities and mission sponsors as required; Inspect MSC ships for compliance with internal official policies and procedures for radio communication, and general electronic equipment; Review maintenance documentation and provide input for the development of maintenance plans
