Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site position based in Norfolk, VA, for a Security Guard. Responsibilities include maintaining a secure environment by patrolling premises, monitoring surveillance equipment, inspecting buildings and access points, and permitting or denying entry to visitors based on established protocols. The role requires swift response to potential security threats, reporting irregularities, completing necessary incident reports, and collaborating with law enforcement when required. Other duties include safeguarding property, enforcing company policies, and ensuring a safe environment for all occupants.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with security operations, incident reporting, and emergency response procedures.
• Expertise in surveillance monitoring, patrolling, and risk assessment.
• Strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively and provide excellent customer service.
• Capability to act quickly, stay calm under pressure, and address security risks.
• Possess a valid security license or certification as required by local/state regulations.
• Physically fit with the ability to stand or patrol for extended periods and handle emergency situations.
• Experience in the security field and prior military or law enforcement background is a strong asset.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
