Description:

Job Summary:
We are seeking a dependable Pump Shop Helper to assist with the repair, maintenance, and preparation of industrial pumps and related components. This position supports shop mechanics by helping clean, sandblast, paint, and organize pump parts and equipment. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, hardworking, and comfortable working in a shop environment.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist mechanics with disassembly and reassembly of pumps and related equipment
  • Clean pump parts and components using appropriate tools and equipment
  • Perform sandblasting to remove rust, scale, and debris from parts
  • Prepare and paint pump components and shop equipment as needed
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the shop and work areas
  • Assist with moving, lifting, and staging pump components and materials
  • Follow all shop safety procedures and guidelines
  • Support general shop operations and perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Previous experience in a mechanic helper, shop helper, or similar role preferred
  • Experience with cleaning industrial parts, sandblasting, and painting components
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
  • Ability to safely use hand tools and shop equipment
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a shop environment
  • Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
  • Must be a US Citizen
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18 to $20 Per hour
