We are hiring Tool Makers for our Industrial Gas Turbine (IGT) group in Hampton, Virginia. You can choose from 1st shift: M-F 7am-3pm or 2nd shift: M-F 3pm-11pm with training also on 1st shift.

Starting Salary: $28.68/hour; After 6 months: $31.86/hour. Enjoy an additional $1.00/hour shift premium for those on an off shift.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze specifications and prepare metal stock for machining.
• Set up and operate various machine tools, including lathes, milling machines, and grinders.
• Fabricate and repair wax injection molds, jigs, gauges, and machinists' tools.
• Ensure machined parts meet precise specifications by verifying dimensions and alignments.
• Collaborate with team members to develop specialty tools and design modifications.

Essential Skills:

• Proficiency in reading blueprints and technical documents.
• Strong mathematical skills, especially in geometry and trigonometry.
• Experience with CNC machine setup, programming, and CAD modeling for CAM software.
• Ability to solve problems and adapt to various technical situations.

Equipment Used: Include vertical milling machines, CNC machines, lathes, band saws, and grinders.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• A minimum of five years of toolmaking and CNC programming experience.
• Flexibility to work all shifts, including overtime and weekends as needed.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
• This position entails access to export-controlled items.
