The City of Virginia Beach is recruiting for a Planner III to join the Planning & Community Development Department. This position requires knowledge of the advanced principles and practices of long-range, transportation, and transit planning and the relationship between long-range and current planning. The position will report to the Comprehensive Planning Administrator and will supervise other Planners in the Transportation Planning group. Primary duties associated with this position are as follows:Comprehensive Plan Policy: Serve as the Departments subject matter expert for long-range transportation planning related to the Comprehensive Plan, Master Transportation Plan, and other city documents containing transportation elements.
