Respiratory Therapist (Permanent Role)

Shift: 8:00 AM End: 4:30 PM

Guaranteed Hours: 35 hours per week

Pay Rate: $37.00 - $40.00/hr

Position Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our healthcare team in a full-time, permanent capacity. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assessing, treating, and caring for patients with breathing or other cardiopulmonary disorders. You will work closely with physicians and nurses to provide critical respiratory care to patients of all ages.

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer respiratory therapy treatments, oxygen therapy, aerosol treatments, and chest physiotherapy.
• Monitor and evaluate patient response to therapy and adjust treatment as necessary.
• Operate and maintain respiratory equipment such as ventilators, CPAP/BiPAP, and oxygen delivery systems.
• Perform diagnostic tests such as arterial blood gases (ABGs) and pulmonary function tests.
• Educate patients and families on respiratory care techniques and equipment use.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with hospital policies and regulatory standards.
• Ensure compliance with infection control procedures and safety protocols.

• Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Respiratory Therapy.
• Current state license to practice as a Respiratory Therapist in Virginia (RRT or CRT).
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required (NBRC certified).
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
• 1+ years of clinical experience.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
