OVERVIEW
The Systems Administrator provides enterprise systems and network administration support for Navy IT environments, ensuring secure, reliable, and compliant operations across on-premises and cloud infrastructures.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Administer server and client operating systems
Manage LAN/WAN infrastructure and network performance
Configure and maintain virtualization technologies and virtual machines
Implement system hardening and security controls
Monitor system health, performance, and availability
Support VPN, remote access, and directory services
Perform system maintenance, backups, and recovery operations
Support cloud service deployments and migrations
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum four (4) years of system management experience
Experience with LAN/WAN architecture and network protocols (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS)
Knowledge of system and network security principles
Experience with virtualization and cloud computing models
Familiarity with system diagnostic and troubleshooting tools
Active Secret clearance
Security+ or equivalent certification
