Part Time Housekeeper

Hours: 7 am to 3 pm

Availability: Weekends only

Wages: $15-$16

Department: Plant Operations

Reports To: Maintenance Director

Position Summary:

The essential functions of the job for the Housekeeper, requires, and may be amended from time to time at the sole discretion of Viva Senior Living to include, but are not limited to the following:

• Must possess, at a minimum, a high school diploma or a GED
• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Must adhere to all facility policies and procedures.

Responsibilities/Accountabilities

• Complete assigned work tasks to maintain the community's clean, safe, and orderly condition while providing a pleasant environment for residents, as directed by the supervisor, and in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Daily dusting and waxing of furniture in each assigned room
• Daily vacuuming of assigned areas
• Daily cleaning of bathrooms in assigned rooms, including sink, tub, and toilet
• Change the supply of paper goods
• Empty wastebaskets in assigned rooms each day
• Responsible for sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, buffing, general cleaning, window cleaning, floor care, furniture cleaning, and maintaining all public areas
• Daily cleaning of public bathrooms and emptying of trash receptacles
• Performs other duties as requested

Annual Health Requirements:

• Must provide annual verification of a negative TB skin test.

Physical And Sensory Requirements:

• Must be able to move intermittently throughout the workday.
• Must meet the general health requirements set forth by the policies of this facility, which include a medical and physical examination.
• Must be able to relate to and work with the ill, disabled, elderly, emotionally upset, and, at times, agitated residents
• Must be able to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 50 pounds to a minimum height of 5 feet and be able to push, pull, move, and/or carry such weight a minimum distance of 50 feet.
• May be necessary to assist in the evacuation of residents during emergency situations.
