divh2Custodian/h2pPosition: Custodian/ppReports to: General Manager (GM) / Assistant Manager (AM)/ppDuties and Responsibilities:/pulliThoroughly clean and sanitize restrooms, locker room areas, shower rooms, stall walls and doors, and all waste areas./liliInspect and clean all windows and window frames, both interior and exterior./liliDetail clean all baseboards, wall trim, walls, and handrails throughout the facility. Must ensure that all surfaces are free of handprints, scuff marks, and dust./liliAll air vents, TVs, signage, storage or glass doors, and light fixtures must be dusted and cleaned./liliAssist in front desk operations as needed, including use of Point of Sale./liliFollow cleaning lists and other assigned tasks./liliTrash from all waste areas must be removed or pushed down./liliAll rubber or tile flooring must be cleaned throughout the gym floor, including auxiliary rooms and under gym equipment with the use of a vacuum, floor scrubber, and mop./liliUse and knowledge of operating floor scrubber and vacuum cleaner./liliCommunicate with members and create a high level of member service./liliAll storage rooms must remain clean and organized and products properly arranged on shelving racks. All loose boxes and trash must be discarded./liliNotify club management if inventory for cleaning supplies is low and needs replenishment./li/ulpQualifications:/pulliMust be at least 18 years of age./liliHigh School Diploma or equivalent required./liliCustodial experience is preferred./liliMust demonstrate excellent attendance and punctuality skills./liliGreat communication skills with internal and external customers./liliMust be team oriented, motivated, and well organized./liliAbility to think critically and evaluate solutions to problems proactively./li/ulpSupervisory Responsibility: This position has no supervisory responsibilities./ppWork Environment: This job operates in a fitness club environment and routinely uses standard custodial equipment such as cleaning chemicals, floor scrubbers and vacuums. The noise level in the club environment may be loud on a regular basis. Will be required to operate in lavatory areas./ppPhysical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that a Team Player must meet to successfully perform the essential functions of this job./pulliRegularly required to talk or hear./liliFrequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms./liliOccasionally required to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl./liliMust frequently lift and move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and move objects up to 75 pounds./liliSpecific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus./li/ulpPosition Type/Expected Hours of Work: This may be either a full-time OR part-time, nonexempt position. A nonexempt Team Player is one who is entitled to the minimum wage and/or overtime pay protections of the FLSA. Scheduled work hours per week will be set during normal club hours of operation and determined by business need. Full-Time employees are ones that regularly work at least 30 hours per week. Part-Time employees are ones that regularly work 29 hours per week or less. Availability of full-time and part-time positions are dependent on business need. This position may work outside of regularly scheduled shift hours to include mornings, evenings, weekends, and overnight as required.
