Painter

We are seeking a skilled painter adept in using a variety of portable power and hand tools, including grinders, drills, saws, and wrenches. The role requires proficiency in power tool operations, touch-up painting, and wrapping.

Responsibilities

• Operate a variety of portable power and hand tools such as grinders, drills, saws, and wrenches.
• Perform touch-up painting and wrapping tasks efficiently.
• Execute tasks in confined spaces with precision and safety.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in using power tools and hand tools.
• Experience in painting and general labor.
• Capability to work effectively in confined spaces.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in firewatch is advantageous.
• Ability to handle general labor tasks.
• Comfortable working first shift from 6:00 AM to 3:30 PM, including overtime and six-day work weeks.

Work Environment

The position involves regular walking and frequent standing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, climbing, balancing, or crawling at various heights and in confined spaces. Occasionally, you will need to sit, reach with hands and arms, and handle objects. The role requires the ability to safely lift and move up to 50 pounds and use vision to see up close, distance, and peripherally, with depth perception and focus adjustment in low light conditions.

Job Type & Location

This is a contract to hire position based out of Hampton, VA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $25.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
