Job Summary:
The Banquet Server is responsible for providing exceptional food and beverage service for all banquet functions while ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness, organization, and guest satisfaction. This role requires attention to detail, strong knowledge of banquet operations, and the ability to deliver professional service in a fast-paced environment.

Duties/Responsibilities:
* Collect and prepare all necessary service items, including glassware, ice, napkins, china, and flatware; inspect for cleanliness and polish as needed.
* Ensure tables are properly set according to banquet standards, including placement of napkins, sugar, salt, and pepper shakers.
* Review Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) to understand and confirm all service requirements are met.
* Set up side stations in assigned banquet rooms.
* Provide food and beverage service to guests according to departmental standards.
* Maintain cleanliness throughout service, ensuring floors remain free of debris at all times.
* Follow "Teamwork" and "Clean as You Go" practices.
* Attend departmental meetings
* Clear and clean service areas promptly after meals, returning all supplies and equipment to proper storage.
* Clean and polish banquet equipment and chairs as needed.
* Maintain and clean all refrigeration units used during service.
* Follow Banquet Captain instructions for post-event cleanup and reset.
* Perform additional duties, projects, and tasks as assigned by management.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
* Must be 18 years or older
* High school diploma or equivalent
* One year or more related experience
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Excellent organizational skills, with particular attention to quality and detail.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization.
* Ability to interact with others while maintaining a courteous and positive demeanor
* Strong knowledge of banquet operations, service standards, and etiquette.
* Demonstrated ability to exceed guest expectations with professional and courteous service.
* Ability to work well under pressure and maintain composure during high-volume events.
* Excellent time management and organizational skills.
* Ability to work flexible shifts, weekends, and holidays
Certifications, Licenses, and/or Registrations:
* Gaming license/registration as required by the Virginia Lottery.
* Must have alcohol certification or be able to obtain within 120 days of employment
Physical Requirements:
* Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
* Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
* Ability to bend, reach, and carry trays of food and beverages.
* Ability to work in an environment with moderate to loud noise, bright lights, smoke, and dust.
