Packager

A Packager is responsible for preparing and packaging parts according to the Bill of Materials (BOM) and preparing them for shipping. This role involves inspecting completed parts to ensure they meet quality standards before painting, packaging the painted parts, and placing them in designated areas for shipping. The position requires careful attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to perform various tasks as assigned by supervisors.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and package parts according to the Bill of Materials (BOM) for shipping.
  • Inspect completed parts to ensure they meet quality standards before painting.
  • Select appropriate packaging materials and methods to protect parts during transit.
  • Label and organize packaged parts in designated areas for shipping.
  • Address routine issues during the packaging process using basic problem-solving techniques.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by supervisors.

Essential Skills:

  • Experience in packaging, production, or related fields.
  • Ability to perform inspections and ensure quality standards.
  • Basic problem-solving skills.
  • Capability to follow work orders and instructions.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to operate small hand tools or willingness to learn.
  • Physical ability to lift, pack, stack, and wrap up to 50 pounds regularly.

Work Environment:

Work in a weekday shift from Monday to Thursday, 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM, in a non-climate-controlled production environment.

Job Type & Location:

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Virginia Beach, VA.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $16.50 - $16.50/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
