We are hiring experienced Riggers and helpers to join our team in the Hampton Roads shipyards. Shipyard riggers play a critical role in lifting, moving, and positioning heavy equipment, ship components, and materials that support both military and commercial vessel projects. Responsibilities

• Set up, inspect, and operate rigging gear including pulleys, chains, slings, hoists, cranes, and winches.

• Safely lift, move, and align ship components and heavy materials.

• Read and interpret load charts, blueprints, and work instructions.

• Signal and communicate with crane operators and other crew members.

• Inspect rigging equipment daily and ensure compliance with shipyard safety standards.

• Maintain a safe and organized work area at all times.

Requirements

• Proven shipyard or industrial rigging experience required.

• Strong knowledge of rigging gear, hand signals, and safe lifting procedures.

• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in physically demanding environments (climbing, bending, standing for extended periods).

• Must be a U.S. citizen or authorized to work in the U.S.

• Must pass background check, drug screening, and meet shipyard entry requirements.
