As Practice Manager, youll architect a high-touch patient experience, optimize daily operations, and partner with leadership to scale this model.
The Opportunity: Ownership & Impact
This role is ideal for a self-starter who thrives on efficiency, ownership, and impact. Youll serve as the primary liaison among patients, staff, and providers, directly influencing the quality of care, while partnering with our Finance Operations Director to align clinical excellence with financial health.
- Location: In-office/Hybrid (primarily in-office; regular travel between our two Hampton Roads locations; off-site meetings; limited remote work).
- Schedule: Full-time (limited after-hours). Reduced-hour arrangements considered for exceptional candidates to support work-life balance.
Core Areas of Responsibility
1. Operational Leadership & Compliance
- Own Daily Flow: Oversee daily clinical and administrative flow to ensure seamless, secure, and efficient operations.
- Maintain Integrity: Maintain HIPAA and regulatory compliance, and align with industry best practices.
- Steward Technology: Manage the practices technology ecosystem including EHR (NextGen Office), communication tools, and security systems; develop clear policies and optimized workflows.
2. Patient & Membership Advocacy
- Champion Culture: Cultivate a welcoming, service-oriented, and patient-centric culture.
- Manage Membership: Direct the patient membership lifecycle: onboarding, documentation, satisfaction, and engagement programs.
- Oversee Communication: Guide external patient communications to reflect our high-touch, relationship-based model.
3. Business & Financial Health
- Financial Partnership: Collaborate with the Director of Financial Operations to maintain practice health, including oversight of payment processing (Rectangle Health) and ERA posting.
- Growth Coordination: Coordinate growth initiatives for key business lines (e.g., Cornerstone WorkWell, Cornerstone LiveWell).
- Facilities & Vendor Relations: Direct facilities and building operations, manage vendor relationships.
4. Team & Provider Management
- Culture Builder: Foster a positive, dependable, and transparent workplace; plan team-building activities; celebrate accomplishments; lead staff meetings.
- Talent Management: Oversee hiring lifecycle for admin and clinical staff; recruit, onboard, and credential providers; manage scheduling and performance concerns.
What We're Looking For:
- Proven experience in medical practice management, preferably with multiple locations.
- Solid understanding of healthcare regulations, including HIPAA.
- Dependable, trustworthy leadership, organized and efficient work style, and empathetic interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency with medical software and standard office technology.
- Dedication to delivering concierge-level patient care and service.
