The Finance Unit plays a pivotal role in the functioning of NDHS. Their responsibilities include:
Reporting: They provide necessary financial reports to local, state, and federal officials as required by the Virginia Department of Social Services and the City of Norfolk.
The NDHS is seeking an Accounting Technician II to perform and maintain the daily accounts payable cycle activities associated with the services of NDHS with the goal of timely and accurate recording of financial transactions and processing of invoices.
Departmental Hiring Salary Range: $41,231-$47,415
Essential functions include but are not limited to:
Work requires knowledge of a specific vocational, administrative, or technical nature which may be obtained with six months/one year of advanced study or training past the high school equivalency. Junior college, vocational, business, technical or correspondence schools are likely sources. Appropriate certification may be awarded upon satisfactory completion of advanced study or training.
Qualifications: Two years experience in bookkeeping or accounting.
