Overview

We are seeking an experienced Cost Accounting Manager to join our team. This role will play a vital role in the financial management and strategic planning of our company, overseeing all aspects of cost accounting, ensuring compliance with IFRS accounting standards, and supporting the preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with SEC regulations. The position requires a deep understanding of GAAP, SEC regulations, and SOX compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage general accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes.
• Support the preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements, ensuring compliance with SEC regulations.
• Develop and maintain the cost accounting system, documents, and records of the organization.
• Analyze and recommend costs and cost savings.
• Prepare and complete internal cost audits.
• Ensure financial statements comply with GAAP.
• Analyze data and document results in detail.
• Assess changes in goods or services to determine impact on cost.
• Analyze manufacturing operations, equipment availability, and utilization.
• Conduct ad hoc product/plant cost analyses to support operations.
• Assist in audits and general ledger preparation.
• Forecast and plan future purchasing costs according to fiscal needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 8+ years of cost accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing or construction environment.
• Experience with public company reporting and compliance.
• Proficiency in ERP systems.
• In-depth knowledge of GAAP, SEC regulations, and SOX compliance requirements.
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels within the organization.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.
• Strong understanding of cost accounting principles and practices.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in work.
• Experience in preparing detailed financial reports.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Compensation

Base pay range: $90,000.00/yr - $130,000.00/yr
