A Day in the Life – What You'll Do
Lead the definition, management, and validation of system requirements across multiple GCCS-J baselines Serve as a technical advisor to the Government, recommending solutions and integrating enhancements into emerging C2 capabilities Guide design concepts, criteria, and engineering approaches for research, development, integration, and test Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership across Agile development teams Deliver presentations to customers, senior leadership, and stakeholders on program status and technical direction Cultivate strong customer relationships and contribute to program growth opportunities Manage cross-functional technical efforts, ensuring delivery on cost, schedule, and technical requirements Focus Areas
Requirements leadership and system integration Technical leadership in Agile system lifecycle execution Expertise in C2 systems, GCCS-J, and defense technology environments Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) related field 8+ years of systems engineering or related technical experience Demonstrated excellence in managing challenging customer relationships during development and execution Experience in requirements solicitation and development Demonstrated success in leading the performance of tasks on schedule, at cost, and achieving all requirements as either a project lead, integrated program team member, or cost account manager Experience in collaborating with employees within a department and across functions Strong understanding of system lifecycle, analysis, development, and management Familiarity with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to operate in a team environment U.S. Citizenship with a final Secret clearance (TS/SCI strongly preferred) Preferred Qualifications
Management of direct reporting staff Strong experience in MBSE and modeling tools such as Cameo Enterprise Architecture Ability to read and develop Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF) models Knowledge of major U.S. DoD acquisition organizations, military customers, and/or military operations Experience with cross-platform management (Windows and Unix/Linux data exchange) Experience with virtual machine environments Experience with the concepts of configuration and data management Familiarity with database design/structures Understanding of virtual environments consisting of VMware technology Solaris/Linux and Windows System Administration skills Attention to detail coupled with the ability to quickly learn new procedures with minimal supervision Top Secret / SCI clearance Who is Caribou Thunder?
