Besides taking care of their employees, SYNCON is proud to offer unlimited PTO, 100% employee premium for health and dental benefits, vision coverage, Life insurance, career development opportunities, and contributions to your 401K even if the employee does not contribute.Annual bonus incentive is based on personal job performance, earned and profitable revenues.Carpenter/Punch OutJOB DESCRIPTIONFLSA Classification: Non-ExemptReports to: Brian JacksonReview Date: October 2, 2024Pay: $25.00 hourlySummary/ObjectiveTo perform miscellaneous carpenter duties and complete punch list on government, commercial, and municipal projects.Essential FunctionsReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.* Perform final inspections and touch-ups on construction projects to ensure all work meets company standards and client expectations.* Address and resolve any issues listed on the punch list, including minor repairs, adjustments, and finishing tasks.* Install, repair, and maintain various carpentry components such as doors, windows, trim, and cabinetry.* Conduct drywall repairs, including patching, sanding, and painting.* Ensure all work complies with building codes, safety regulations, and company policies.* Collaborate with project managers, subcontractors, and other team members to ensure timely project completion.* Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including proper storage of tools and materials.* Communicate effectively with clients to address any concerns and ensure satisfaction with the final product.* Maintain work equipment to perform tasks and transport equipment and materials to various job sites.Competencies* Attention to Detail: Ensuring precise measurements and cuts and maintaining high standards of workmanship.* Problem Solving Skills: Quickly addressing and resolving issues that arise without affecting the overall structure or aesthetic of the project.* Knowledge of Construction Standards: Understanding of building codes, regulations, and quality standards. Ensure the project complies with all safety and regulatory requirements before final inspection.* Time Management: Efficiently managing time to complete tasks within project deadlines.* Communication Skills: Effectively communicating with team members, contractors, and clients to ensure project requirements are met.* Technical Skills: Proficiency in using various tools and equipment such as saws, hammers, drills, and measuring instruments. This also includes the ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical documents.* Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough inspections to ensure all aspects of the construction meet the required quality standards.Physical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.The employee is required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl and walk. High School diploma or equivalent.2. 1-2 years of construction knowledge, technical training, or certifications in carpentry or construction.3.
