Description
Peninsula Catholic High School in Newport News, Virginia, has an immediate opening for a skilled Receptionist. This position will provide Administrative/Secretarial/Clerical support to the school administration and faculty. This position is a 10-month (40 hours/week) position.
Responsibilities and tasks are not limited to the following:
? Issues admission and early dismissal slips
? Assists administrators with correspondence and other services as needed
? Sorts and posts mail
? Screens and responds to telephone calls and inquiries; greets visitors to the school
? Compiles a list of daily absentees and early dismissals to inform faculty and staff
? Makes announcements over the school's public address system
? Assists in any attendance issues that may arise
? Assists with the front desk visitor system
? Creates and maintains weekly school newsletters (KnightLine and Round Table)
? Performs other tasks as required
Requirements
Qualifications:
? A minimum of an Associate's Degree or commensurate experience
? Excellent verbal and written communication skills
? Strong organizational skills; proficient with Canva, Constant Contact, Google Suite, and database management
? Effective and efficient telephone communication skills
? Exceptional time management skills and the ability to prioritize work
? Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
? Professional demeanor, flexibility and the ability to respond to multiple demands
? Ability to create a welcoming, pleasant environment; ability to maintain confidentiality
? Organized; positive, efficient, prompt, and service-oriented approach
